Get your Christmas gifts early this year, and for a good cause!
From 10a to 4p this Wednesday and Thursday the Undergraduate Public Health Association (UPHA) will be selling handbags, holiday cards, silk writing journals, and more from Southern India at the GSU Link. All the proceeds from this sale will go towards the women’s co-op which makes these products, the Belaku Trust. The Belaku Trust helps empower women in rural India so as to prevent gender-based violence and, on the whole, improve their health. To learn more, please visit our website at https://bupublichealth.wordpress.com/tag/belaku. The Belaku Trust’s website is belakutrust.org.
If you are free and able to help, or just want to perform some community service, please sign up to help sell the Belaku products with UPHA members by inputting your name and phone number at https://doodle.com/participation.html?pollId=rt8n72vs9zzid9ws. Ideally, we need about 4 people at each time slot.
