AIDS Action Committee Volunteering Opportunity

Hotline Volunteers help to answer over 7,000 calls per month with information, emotional support and referrals around HIV/STD issues such as risks, testing and treatment. Hotline volunteers work with interns and staff, as well as other volunteers, in a mutually supportive, fun environment. It is a great way to make a difference in many individuals’ lives. The Hotlines program requires a minimum one year commitment, of one 4-hour shift each week (shifts are 9-1, 1-5, and 5-8). The program requires a special application and interview meeting. Volunteers also take part in a weekend-long intensive training and ongoing skill-building. The next Hotlines training will be January 22nd and 23rdfrom 9-5 both days.
